Established in 1962, on an area of ​​over 22 thousand hectares, Cuc Phuong has become the first national park and also the first nature conservation unit in Viet Nam. Cuc Phuong is characterized by tropical rainforest, green all year round. In Cuc Phuong, there is a very beautiful and very rare primate species, the white-cheeked langur-a treasure of nature, this langur species has been chosen as the symbol of Cuc Phuong National Park.

Cuc Phuong is home to many tropical birds with many colors of feathers, sizes, and singing sounds. Of the total 307 species, Cuc Phuong has many rare birds, such as the white pheasant, red-headed woodpecker, ground phoenix, striped-bellied pitta… Therefore, Cuc Phuong is chosen as one of the ideal bird-watching spots for scientists and bird-watching enthusiasts in the country and around the world. The insect world in Cuc Phuong is also diverse and varied.

Besides, Cuc Phuong has many beautiful caves preserving valuable archaeological sites. Scientists believe that this is one of the keys to understanding the history of Viet Nam and Southeast Asia, these remains are still preserved in the Ancient Man Cave, Con Moong Cave.
